We want to make progress on three levels with this project. 1.) Education-sponsorship of the participated pupils: This project represents a great opportunity for the Namibian pupils to train themselves handling media, which are usually just not accessible for them. Against the background that tourism is the biggest perspective for jobs in Namibia this project means a good, additional qualification for the Namibian young persons. This film offers the German young persons also the good possibility to work practically with a concrete project and to look behind the theoretical horizon, which is limited by the everyday life in school. 2.) Sponsorship of the cultural cooperation: The script bases on myths and fairytales. It is going to be filmed in Khoekhoegowab (click-sound-language of the natives in Baumgartsbrunn). Therefore the European young persons have to deal intensively with the Namibian language and way of life and obtain so a complete new point of view of a foreign culture. The Namibian young persons get through the mutual film-work an insight into the European working methods for such a project and broaden at the same time their German and English knowledge. 3.) Public effect: With the project we want to attract attention for the situation in Namibia, specifically in Baumgartsbrunn. After its completion the film shall be presented in cinemas in Germany and in the Namibian TV. It will be published on the homepage of the project. A program for school lessons is in the planning stage, so that the film will be presented in school-classes and at exhibitions for that topic. Of course, we hope also for a big coverage in various print mediums. Home
